Water Quality – Diane Adams
Water quality has been good. Initially there was some growth of algae in the water near the beach, but has been treated and it’s working well. Recently the inlet side was treated as well.
Clubhouse – Chris Lelli
Chris Lelli was absent for the meeting.
There have been complaints regarding toilet paper not stocked in the bathrooms. Evin Harper will do this but he needs access to the shed where currently toilet paper rolls are stored. It was suggested that the rolls be stocked in the kitchen cabinet instead so anyone who needs them has access to it. Toilet paper roll holder in Women’s bathroom is broken and needs to be fixed.
New Business
Maggie Potter said non members are using basket ball court and parking on the street. Need to send a reminder to membership to call police if they notice trespassing. Put a message out on Facebook, email and the newsletter.
Fireworks – need a champion to step forward and lead the paperwork required to apply for a permit. The total costs (permit + fireworks) is estimated to be around $8,000 and the process will take a long time. So if we want fireworks back next year need to get started on it right away.
Pat H said we need to issue stickers for boats. The other option is to make a stencil and paint the boat. On the membership front Pat suggested of putting together a payment plan proposal for the $1000 initiation fees. Also provide electronic methods like PayPal to accept payments. Pro-rate dues for members who join after July.
Mike M said Elizabeth McLaughlin has bought 4 new umbrellas and 2 new stands. All for a total of $200 out of which $110 was collected through fund raisers. She wants to know if there’s budget in lake beautification to pay the balance $90.
Meeting adjourned 9:37PM.
