Sunset Lake July Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order on July 13, 2020 at 7:07pm.
Absent: Cynthia, Harshal, and Chris
President – Mike McLaughlin
– 4th of July success, max of 60 people at one time on grounds, socially distancing in effect. We may consider a scaled down 4th of July event when covid passes.
– Dam valve was turned 9 times with help from Jim Doggett, Juliet Marx, and Sean Ryan. This cleaned out old buildup. Recommended we do this 2x a year. Pumping out water from valve hole to commence in the coming months
– quote received on broken sign. insurance in process.
– broken gate fixed – approximate cost $50.

Grass cut shortly before 4th. Looked great.

– Clubhouse and kitchen lights upgraded to LED, motion sensors in kitchen and men’s room installed
– new member AJ has been a big help
– looking into fence issue on property near playground
Social – Julie
– boat race great success
– do dah parade had lots of kids – 17 at least
– movie nights planned for 7/17, 8/8, and 8/28
Lifeguards – Maggie
– spoke with law enforcement regarding stop sign on Coriell/crosswalks/ etc in effort to make the intersection of Coriell and North Shore safer
– no parking signs seem to be working
